Learn about Our Transition to a Virtual Company!
We are writing this blog to let you know about MarkUBiz’s decision to take the company virtual. In fact, this transition to a virtual company happened earlier this year.
There have been some questions about whether we are still in business. In February of this year, we decided to transition the company to a virtual model. We felt the office was not needed to serve our clients. By closing the office we were able to reallocate that money into our team and resources. We are still in business and continuing to grow our client base and team!

What Exactly does “Virtual Company” Mean?
By saying we have gone “virtual”, we have decided to close our local office. The virtual company concept allows our local team members now work from home (or any place of their choosing). The address in our signatures and on our website is a mailing address. Please don’t stop by as it is a UPS Store and we will not be there.
Why Did We Make The Decision to Transition to a Virtual Corporation?
When MarkUBiz merged with Local Web Traffic Solutions & Local Child Care Marketing in 2015, the merger shifted where our team worked. A lot of the LWTS & LCCM team works across the country (San Diego, Houston, Baltimore, etc…). Therefore, we did not see the need to have an office in Reno, when the majority of our team isn’t here. Besides, we have moved to doing more virtual meetings with our current and potential clients. These meetings are more convenient for all involved (see below).
How Will We Handle Client Meetings?
As a virtual company we do the majority of our meetings using web conferences or phone calls. We prefer web conferences (we use zoom.info) so that we can share our screen with you and you can see us on video. By doing a web conference, we cut down on the time needed to meet with you, saving you time as well. Web conferencing allows us to record important meetings for future reference.

Both owners of MarkUBiz, Devin Sizemore & Jeff Fisher, still live in Reno and we still have local team members. We are happy to meet up with you at your business or your favorite coffee shop. Please just let us know!
What Is In Store for the Rest of 2016 & 2017
We have continued to expand our team to better serve our clients. We have added Leonard Parker, who is our Marketing Manager, and he is handling the SEO campaigns for our local and national clients. We have also added Jarrett Wild, who is handling social media and internal marketing. Jarrett will be helping to take our social media services to the next level, while also helping Devin on the sales and marketing side of the company.
We are working through refining our services to make sure they meet changes in the industry. As we adjust them, we are looking for ways to continue to bring more value to our clients. Please keep an eye out for some of these changes as we close out 2016.
